weekend update.

RECAPS
-- after a week off, i got back on my exercise plan this week and i feel so much better. i don't love the actual working out part (like when i can't breathe or my arms feel like they are going to fall off), but i do love how i feel during the rest of the week when i've been working out consistently. i have more energy and am more alert! plus, it's just healthy for my body.

-- i went to the drive-in saturday night with some friends to see maleficent!! it was not what i was expecting, but it was good! have any of you seen it yet?

-- i can't stop thinking about disney world because some friends and i are trying to plan a trip for december! it's all we've been talking about for the past week. :) disney...at christmas time! i'm giddy just thinking about it.

-- after church on sunday, i needed some friend time, so i headed over to alex and todd's to binge watch a few episodes of LOST. :)

-- i'm leaving for colorado on thursday, and i kept having dreams last week that i had forgotten to pack basically anything i would need...like clothes...or a toothbrush. i always have dreams like that when i'm about to go on vacation. haha!

OTHER FINDS
-- really great thoughts on why view counts shouldn't discourage you.
-- the hardest disney quiz of all times. i only got 10 right!
-- NASA announced the birth of a new star! it is beautiful.
-- OHMYGOODNESS. i want these UP toms.
-- shauna niequist always knows what to say and i always stumble upon it exactly when i need it most.
-- have you guys heard of blurb?
-- this is glorious. just glorious.
-- on trusting in the hard times.
-- some great reminders on forgiveness.

-- if i had to pick between living in the mountains or at the beach for the rest of my life, i'd pick the mountains every time.

LOST is so great. i watched it from the very beginning when i was in highschool...it ended the year i graduated from college. my friend has never seen it, so it's fun watching with her!

Binge-watching Lost is a great weekend activity!!

right? they had just started season 2!...it's been so long since i've seen those episodes.

oooh! I REALLY want to see Malificent! .. but now The Fault in Our Stars is out.. so that's taken top priority. We don't usually budget much for entertainment- but I'm finding myself wanting to make more and more exceptions! LOVE that you got to see it at the drive in! So fun!

If I had to choose between the mountains and the beach I would also always choose the mountains. I am actually looking forward to moving back home after grad school to live closer to the mountains once again :)
Have a great week! Only two more days until you get to go to Colorado…I am so jealous but wish you tons and tons of fun ;-)

I definitely am right there with you on not enjoying working out until later when I feel good that I went. I do feel so much better after a week of working out most every day. Oh my, those toms! I love them!

Little Brave said...

haha! So did I! I'm comforted by knowing I won't be the only one in the theatre sobbing. In fact... I'll judge anyone who isn't puffy eyed when we walk out of the theatre. ;)

Megan McIlvaine said...

haha!! me too!

Megan McIlvaine said...

Are those TOMS for real? If so, I want a pair, too! They're so cute!

And I am so glad you shared that time lapse video. It's phenomenal and proof that God's creation is truly beautiful. I was just trying to type and watch it at the same time but pretty much failed because I had to keep switching tabs because I was missing more of it, haha. :)

Have a wonderful week!
